50th District Court, Pontiac, MI (Oakland County) - Charge Dismissed

Charge: Felony Malicious Destruction of Property

In October 2025, Spencer M. Bondy earned the dismissal of a serious felony charge for a client at a preliminary examination in the 50th District Court.  During our investigation and legal research, we discovered that law enforcement illegally seized evidence used in charging our client.  This information and legal research was shared with the prosecutor, who agreed that this evidence was illegally seized and without that evidence, the prosecution could not meet the burden of establishing its case at the preliminary examination.  

53rd District Court, Howell, MI (Livingston County) - Expungement Granted

Charge: Domstic Violence 

In September 2025, Spencer M. Bondy successfully obtained an order granting our client's expungement application to set aside a conviction for Domestic Violence.  

Office of Hearings & Administrative Oversight - Driver's License Restored

Action: Driver's License Restoration 

In August 2025, Spencer M. Bondy successfully represented our client before the Michigan OHAO/SOS.  Just one day after the hearing with the OHAO/SOS Hearing Officer, we received an order granting our client a full unrestricted driver's license. 

Office of Hearings & Administrative Oversight - Driver's License Restored

Action: Driver's License Restoration 

In June 2025, Spencer M. Bondy successfully restored the driving privileges for a client accused of violating their breath alcohol ignition interlock device.  Due to the immediate revocation of our client's license, Spencer acted quickly in filing a Motion to Stay Revocation in the Oakland County Circuit Court and requested a hearing to contest this alleged violation with the OHAO/SOS.  This Motion was granted by the Court over the Attorney General's opposition, giving our client the right to continue driving on a restricted license while their OHAO/SOS hearing was pending.  Due to Spencer's significant preparation, the violation was dismissed after a short hearing with the OHAO/SOS.  

52-1 District Court, Novi, MI (Oakland County) - Charge Dismissed

Charge: Unlicensed Residential Builder

This case involved years of prior disputes between our client and the complainant.  The Michigan Attorney General's Office filed a charge against our client and being retained, in May 2025, Spencer M. Bondy and his team swiftly negotiated the dismissal of this serious misdemeanor charge for our client in Novi, MI.

7-B District Court, South Haven, MI (Van Buren County) - OWI Conviction Set Aside 

Action: Expungement of Operating While Intoxicated Conviction 

In May 2025, Spencer M. Bondy successfully represented our client in an application to set aside a first offense OWI conviction that involved a high BAC original charge.  In support of our client's petition, we filed an extensive legal brief outlining how our client met the legal standards in the Michigan Set Aside Conviction Act.  The Court relied on this brief in granting our request, setting aside our client's conviction. 

Office of Hearings & Administrative Oversight - Driver's License Restored

Action: Driver's License Restoration 

In February 2025, Spencer M. Bondy successfully secured the full restoration of our client's driving privileges with the Michigan OHAO/SOS.  This was a complicated case involving an out-of-state client who was also medical marijuana patient in their home state.  Extensive pleadings and legal briefs filed on behalf of our client and significant pre-hearing preparation proved to make a difference with the OHAO/SOS Hearing Officer. 

53rd District Court, Howell, MI (Livingston County) - Charge Dismissed

Charge: Aggravated Assault 

In January 2025, after extensive pretrial negotiations, motions, and trial preparation, Spencer M. Bondy secured a resolution for a client on a case where the client was told there would be "no offers."  Our client received a successful deferral of a serious offense and the case was dismissed after our client served only 4-months of non-reporting probation.  

52-3 District Court, Rochester, MI (Oakland County) - Charges Dismissed

Charges: Identity Theft, False Pretenses $1,000.00 - $20,000.00, Financial Transaction Device 

On December 5, 2024, following a preliminary examination, attorney Spencer M. Bondy secured a dismissal for a client charged with multiple complex felony financial charges in Rochester, MI.  Spencer M. Bondy thoroughly cross-examined multiple law enforcement officers, eliciting testimony necessary for the court to find that the prosecution failed to carry it's burden of proof.  All three felony charges were dismissed by the court. 

53rd District Court, Howell, MI (Livingston County) - Not Guilty

Charge: Domestic Violence

On November 22, 2024, attorney Spencer M. Bondy secured a Not Guilty verdict following a multi-day trial for a client accused of Domestic Violence.  The client was falsely accused of a heinous assault that including allegations that he violently choked his spouse while visiting Michigan with friends for a holiday weekend.  This case had significant potential consequences for our client, who was facing a multi-state divorce and custody battle.  Prior to trial, our client had been prevented from seeing his child for a significant time period, despite maintaining his innocence.  Attorney Spencer M. Bondy skillfully demonstrated inconsistencies in the accuser's testimony through thorough cross-examination of the prosecutor's witnesses and employed a compelling defense strategy that resonated with the jury.  Ultimately, after 20-minutes of deliberation the jury provided a Not Guilty verdict. 

52-1 District Court, Novi, MI (Oakland County) - Charge Dismissed

Charge: Domestic Violence

In September 2024, Spencer M. Bondy secured a dismissal for a client charged with Domestic Violence 2 days before it was scheduled for a jury trial.  After extensive pretrial discussions regarding deficiencies in the evidence, Spencer M. Bondy was able to convince the prosecutor to dismiss the charge before trial.  

52-1 District Court, Novi, MI (Oakland County) - Charge Dismissed

Charge: Operating While Intoxicated

In September 2024, Spencer M. Bondy secured a dismissal for a client charged with Operating While Intoxicated after extensive pretrial discussions with the prosecutor.  Spencer M. Bondy meticulously dissected the arresting officer's administration of Standard Filed Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) in a detailed deviation request, demonstrating that the officer failed to follow the National Highway Safety Administration's standardized criteria for the SFSTs.  The prosecution chose not to proceed with trial and offered our client a civil infraction reduction, saving our client from 6 points, probation and potential jail.  

52-2 District Court, Clarkston, MI (Oakland County) - Felony Charges Reduced

Charges: 2 Counts of Assault with Dangerous Weapon, Domestic Violence 

Spencer M. Bondy successfully secured a significant reduction for a client from White Lake Township charged with multiple violent felonies.  Our client faced potential prison if found guilty of the original charged felonies.  After thorough discussions with the prosecution, our client accepted an offer to reduced misdemeanor offenses with a dismissal of the charges after completing probation. 

52-1 District Court, Novi, MI (Oakland County) - Charge Reduced to Non-Alcohol Offense

Charge: Operating While Intoxicated

Spencer M. Bondy successfully convinced the prosecution to reduce an Operating While Intoxicated charge for a medical professional client to a non-alcohol related offense that did not abstract to the client's driving record.

Action: Driver's License Restoration 

In July 2024, Spencer M. Bondy successfully represented an out of state client in a driver's license restoration hearing with the Michigan Secretary of State, securing a clearance of the prior revocation of the client's driver's license.

6th Circuit Court, Pontiac, MI (Oakland County) - Felony Charges Reduced

Charge: Home Invasion 3rd Degree, Malicious Destruction of Property

Spencer M. Bondy successfully represented a client charged with felony Home Invasion by convincing the prosecution to dismiss the felony charge.  The client was ordered to complete 6 months of non-intensive probation for a minor misdemeanor offense. 

50th District Court, Pontiac, MI (Oakland County) - Charges Dismissed

Charge: Domestic Violence 2nd Offense, Aggravated Assault 

Our client was charged with multiple violent offenses and faced potential jail time for a crime she did not commit.  After being retained, Spencer M. Bondy conducted an extensive investigation and discovered video evidence of the alleged assault that the complainant attempted to withhold and destroy.  Spencer M. Bondy used this video evidence in negotiations with the prosecution, ultimately securing a dismissal of all charges for his client. 

53rd District Court, Howell, MI (Livingston County) - Charge Dismissed

Charge: Operating While Intoxicated

Spencer M. Bondy secured a dismissal of an OWI charge for a client from Brighton, MI, following an evidentiary hearing on a motion to suppress evidence obtained pursuant to an illegal warrant. This evidence included the Michigan State Police Laboratory Report for our client.  After the judge ordered that the warrant for our client's blood was deficient and suppressed evidence of our client's blood draw, the prosecution dismissed the case. 

Office of Hearings & Administrative Oversight - Driver's License Restored

Action: Driver's License Restoration 

Spencer M. Bondy successfully represented a client before the Michigan Secretary of State, securing an order reinstating the client's driver's license.  This was a difficult case due to the client's license being previously revoked due to multiple child endangerment convictions.  Through thorough preparation and legal briefing, Spencer M. Bondy was able to establish that the client met the stringent requirements for license restoration.  

48th Circuit Court, Allegan, MI (Allegan County) - CSC 4th Degree Conviction Expunged

Charge: CSC 4th Degree

After multiple hearings in which testimony was taken and evidence admitted, Spencer M. Bondy was able to convince the court that his client deserved to have a prior conviction for CSC 4th degree set aside and the client removed from the Michigan Sex Offenders Registry (SORA). 

90th District Court, Petoskey, MI (Emmet County) - OWI 2nd Reduced to Non-alcohol Offense

Charge: Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense 

Our client as facing significant penalties due to an arrest for OWI 2nd offense.  Shortly before a jury trial was scheduled to begin, Spencer M. Bondy secured a reduction from OWI 2nd Offense to a non-alcohol and non-abstractable offense for our client.

90th District Court, Charlevoix, MI (Charlevoix County) - OWI High BAC Reduced

Charge: Operating While Intoxicated High BAC (0.17+)

Our client was arrested for OWI High BAC after an accident in Charlevoix County.  Spencer M. Bondy diligently negotiated with the prosecution and secured a reduction for the client to Operating While Visibly Impaired.  Ultimately the client was ordered to pay fines and costs only, without any jail time or probation.  

81st District Court, Tawas City, MI (IOSCO County) - OWI Reduced & Implied Consent Violation Withdrawn

Charge: Operating While Intoxicated & Implied Consent Violation 

Our client was arrested for OWI after an accident in Iosco County.  Although our client was cooperative with law enforcement, he refused to take a chemical test following his arrest and received a 1-year Implied Consent license suspension.  After negotiating with the prosecution, Spencer M. Bondy secured a reduction to Operating While Visibly Impaired and a withdrawal of our client's Implied Consent license violation.  At sentencing, our client was ordered to pay fines and costs, avoiding jail time and probation entirely. 

90th District Court, Petoskey, MI (Emmet County) - OWI 2nd Dismissed

Charge: Operating While Intoxicated 2nd Offense 

Our client as facing significant penalties due to an arrest for OWI 2nd offense.  Shortly before a jury trial was scheduled to begin, Spencer M. Bondy secured a reduction from OWI 2nd Offense to a non-alcohol and non-abstractable offense for our client.

72nd District Court, Marine City, MI (St. Clair County) - Charge Dismissed

Charge: Felony Eavesdropping

An extensive preliminary examination was held in the 72nd District Court, during which multiple witnesses testified for the prosecutor.  In a rare circumstance, Spencer M. Bondy presented witness testimony from his client's spouse that undermined the charge and demonstrated that the complainant was untruthful with law enforcement.  Although the case was bound over to the St. Clair County Circuit Court, the preliminary examination hearing was so compelling that the prosecutor agreed to dismiss all charges before the first hearing in the Circuit Court.
